Purpose of Kitchen Fire Extinguishers

Fire extinguishers at home are typically found in the kitchen and in the garage. It is more recommendable to have at least 2 because there are numerous compositions of fire extinguishers made to put out fire on particular type of material. They can be powder-based, water based, class K for example. Class K is the one used for kitchen since the kitchen could have burning oil and if you try and put out the fire using water based fire extinguisher, it may just spread out. From a different perspective, if you use powder-based, it may sink into the oil and may worsen the fire.
